This years trip to Ireland produced my best Irish Sea Trout to a fly. Fishing Lough Currane with Junior as my Gillie, my job was to shoot pix for this years Snowbee catalogue(2003), but after a hard day it was all hands to the pump and this superb fish was the result.

Fishing that very Irish fly the "Dabbler" into a rocky area to the west of the lough, this superb fish took the fly on the first pull. That evening served for dinner at Roger Bakers Clogvoola fishing lodge was a culinary delight of the first order.
This was a "bragging" size fish which although it did not make the 6lb specimen size, was close enough for me.
Check out Roger Bakers web site for a warm welcome, superb food and fishing. He is putting a lot of time in tracking down the Bass in this area and Salt Water fly fishing is very high on the agenda.
